A ten-panel suite of oil paintings spanning over 65 feet wraps the central staircase of Soho House West Hollywood, the largest painting commission in the House's global history.

The works extend Uhlir's ongoing investigation of cyclical time and the Anthropocene, drawing from the visual language of landscape painting. Capability Brown's orchestrated gardens, Tiepolo's theatrical skies, Courbet's weight of realism combine while layering in contemporary cultural residue. Built through repeated cycles of painting, scraping, and reworking, the mark making is dense, shifting with light and never fully settling.

At this scale, each canvas becomes environment rather than object. Conceived as variations within a symphony, the four paintings function independently while sustaining a shared chromatic and gestural logic across the full architectural expanse. Sight lines and movement through the space were central to the work's development, the commission unfolds as the viewer does.
